Dr Eugene Marais has been creating smiles in Hornchurch since 1992 and has moved from Billet lane to a new light and airy clinic in North Street, where he is still supported by Dr Anusha Koobair, Samira our Practice Manager and Keyleigh. In particular , dentists have been loathe to provide items like root canal treatments on NHS terms, as well as certain gum treatments, due to the poor remuneration of these items of service. The effect is that NHS patients are referred to specialist practices far away and end up paying high prices for treatments. For example, a referral patient attended our clinic for a second opinion on a root canal treatment and where the patient was quoted £950 for it, Dr Anusha could provide the same treatment for £480. At Marais Associates we're happy to provide these treatments in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Eugene is President of the British Academy of Implant Dentistry(BADI), as well as Diplomate and Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and has 24 years of dental implant experience. Anusha has been involved in implants for about 12 years. With all their knowledge, skill and experience most implant problems can be deal with effectively. So it's reassuring to know that all the dentists at Marais Associates are all very well equipped to perform their profession and continually update their Continuing Professional Development by attending courses and symposiums.

The clinic is well equipped to deal with almost any dental problem as well as dealing with facial esthetics like providing anti wrinkle treatments and facial fillers. With the introduction of a Cerec machine we can now offer immediate fixes in some cases where a tooth has been fractured and needs a crown or porcelain inlay and time is an issue, like going on holiday, or an anniversary party where something needs doing quickly.
With our denture and implant programme we take a lot of care, because in our area there are many people who wear dentures, and in many cases just put up with them, not knowing that there are better products on the market. In some cases a denture can be combined with a couple of implants to offer a much improved chewing solution. With our implant expertise we can replace one or more missing teeth, do bone grafts where there isn't enough bone and offer a cosmetic smile makeover.
